There are of course dozens of ways to promote your business. In the current environment, it is online advertising that small to medium-sized business owners are finding the best value to gain most customers.
People are spending more and more time online, for many, it is their first stop to find a business that provides the product or service they need.
What choice do I have?
There are a vast number of platforms you can use online to promote your business and get more customers. The biggest are Facebook and Google, and as such, they are likely to be a great starting point for your business.
The key to using either of these platforms is the knowledge of how to use them, what they can do for you, what results you want from them and how much those results are worth to you. If you use them incorrectly, it is easy to throw money away and conclude that online marketing is a waste of money when with a little knowledge it could potentially have a huge positive impact on your business.
What platform should I use?
Google Ads and Facebook Ads are very different. Depending on your companies product or service you may want to use either or both.
For example, you own or run a Gym, you have space for new members and a new class to promote. You know most of your customers live within three-miles of you, are interested in exercise and the vast majority are between 18 and 60 years of age.
How does it work?
With Google, we can set up a Search Ad. If a potential customer in your three-miles radius searches for ‘Gym near me’ a Google Ad will list your Gym at the top of their page. This will give you the best opportunity to get that person to call you or visit your website.
Facebook Ads can put your new class in front of someone in your three-mile radius, age-range and who is interested in exercise that may be interested in the class but is not aware it exists. This gives you the best chance possible that they will contact you to find out more.
These are just two examples, your options are endless.
